It looks like the key here is the server relay software that runs inside the  
client's network. By doing this it can act as a "VNS/RDP Gateway" for any  
client machines in the LAN and it always talks to the server hosted out on  
the internet. I may not be understanding this correctly though so correct me  
if I'm wrong.
