Often there isn't anything stopping you from *physically* swapping the card (unless it is soldered on the motherboard). But with a hardware blacklist, there's no guarantee that the swapped card will actually work. I would ask if HP ever restricts swapping Wi-Fi cards on any of their laptops. If the technician says no then you know they're not properly informed. Andrew.
