Hi there!Since Trisquel is basically Ubuntu minus the proprietary parts, the reason your Ethernet (wired) doesn't work likely is it requires proprietary software.
One option would be to purchase the 10/100 USB Ethernet adapter from https://www.thinkpenguin.com/catalog/wired-networking-56k-modems-gnulinux
