+1 MagicBanana & jxself. Let's be careful and not jump to conclusions when  
weird things happen on our computers.

A few months ago I experienced some very weird behaviors in my browser.   
Turns out it was a user script that I had installed (and forgotten about)  
that was misbehaving.
