This is for future reference if anyone else interested in installing Zotero  
Standalone on Trisquel:

Zotero Standalone is already in the repositories of Debian unstable and  
should be in the Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) repositories. So it will  
eventually be available for Trisquel too.
