Following the advice of the Replicant developer who spoke at this year's LibrePlanet I have a Cyanogenmod with only F-droid apps set up. A smartphone acts as a medical device for me (per my disability) on four counts. Including one which requires GPS, otherwise I'd be on Replicant.

And yes I hate the tracking. UK law allows just about all the national and city government departments whose forms I _have_ to fill as a disabled person to pull my location data. Often only on a supervisor's say so. As Eben Moglen has said if Freedom came to England, she'd be detained at Heathrow.
