If you want to use BOINC for the "climateprediction.net" project (like I did,  
some years ago - and, that was probably the reason why my previous  
motherboard didn't last long) forget about it... The whole "climate change"  
story, due to human behaviour (I later learned) it's a huge hoax.

If you want to use it for something else, I hope then it's for a worthwhile  
project, that justifies wearing your computer. And, I'll leave it for other  
people to help you. (Since, I unfortunately can't remember anything, now, of  
what I did, in order to get that program running on GNU/Linux...)
