[Trisquel-users] What's so special about identi.ca?

I've seen a lot of Free Software and Open Source folks using it. I'm using  
reddit as per social networking though using Facebook too as I'm managing an  
event. Also, how do I get all of my photos and videos in Facebook via  
compressed file? Those two are the only ones really stopping me to leave  
Facebook forever -_-
