Thanks.I have never added anything from any repository. I am using wired (DSL). I still have my "6" live media (DVD). And, yes, when I used it live, it did connect to the Internet. I will try the "lspci" command when I get home from work in 3.5 hours. (The only kernel I use is the one that Trisquel has and sends updates for.)
Also, I think I will experiment with DHCP versus PPPoE settings, etc.
