I'm running Trisquel 7 and I just discovered the tor process. However, I  
couldn't find any electrum wallet. Why should there be a Bitcoin wallet  
running by default?

Concerning your original question I don't know too much and I highly doubt  
that there will be an updated version for Trisquel 6.
