[Trisquel-users] Help! Touchpad suddenly stopped working.

I have had a ThinkPenguin Korora running Trisquel quite nicely for 6 months.  
The trackpad just stopped working, apparently at random. Plenty of searching  
hasn't produced an obvious fix. Bugfixing such things is not my strong point.  
Can anyone offer any pointers?

System Settings > Mouse & Touchpad still gives me the normal options, only  
they don't do anything.

cat /proc/bus/input/devices > devices tells me I have an "ETPS/2 Elantech  
Touchpad"
