I was trying XFCE because I saw Xubuntu in action and I liked the look.
Please understand I am totally onboard with the GNU vision. The fragmentation
im talking about is really just inconsistency in the user experience when it
comes to the GUI of for example, XFCE. I find it is very easy for me to just
break the GUI. Actually, in Trisquel Desktop I recently messed up my GUI and
its so unfortunate that it isnt easy to just be able to reset it pretty
easily.
Again, I want to restate that I LOVE the GNU vision and I think Trisquel is a
beautiful distro. I wish I could help out with the UX when it comes to the
GUI. I am not sure if there is a place for someone to suggest non-bug related
requests. As someone who has worked with developers, I know that feature
requests often get shrugged off.
I really didn't mean to sound like I'm not grateful for what we've got. I
very much am!
