Dear all,

I searched the forums but only found locked topics referring to the questions I have, so I start a new one.
Basically, I have three questions:

1. Who takes the decisions of Trisquel GNU/Linux, and are they documented somewhere? Part of this question: can members of Trisquel take part, or qualify for taking part, into decisions of the distribution?

2. How are monetary contributions (donations, membership fees) used, and is it documented somewhere?

3. How is the forum moderated, and can contributors or members take part, or qualify to take part, in these decisions?

For explanations:
ad 1) Software projects require decisions, and from my point of view, the past decisions of Trisquel GNU/Linux were made very well. However, in the Trisquel GitLab, I can see only four (three + root?) members. I don't understand how decisions are made, and I don't understand if members of Trisquel can qualify somehow to become part of this team (or other teams). For instance, if someones wants to start a promotion campaign for Trisquel, would it be possible for him or her to become a contributor who is fully responsible for the task, and would be involved into the decisions of the distribution? ad 2) I fully understand how much work is put into the development and maintenance of Trisquel GNU/Linux. For me, it is fine to remunerate those people responsible for making it work, as discussed in https://trisquel.info/en/forum/trisquel-membership. However, it would be important to know how much money Trisquel GNU/Linux receives, and how it is spent. I don't want to know the salary of specific persons, but an estimated figure of the share spent on labour costs, equipment costs, etc. There are so many options to donate and support (FSF, Software Freedom Conservancy, Distros, Developers...). Trisquel claims to be a "non-profit organisation" but, to be honest, I cannot find any proof of this. Publishing a kind of statement of accounts would improve the transparency of the project a lot. ad 3) Users are able to create issues, and sometimes topics of the forum are locked. Who is taking according decisions and, again, can other people qualify somehow for becoming part of this decision taking group?

Looking forward to the answers.
