The other common point of issue with Trisquel is 3D graphics. Look for your model of graphics card: older NVIDIA cards do sometimes run problem free (circa 2010), but ATI and AMD cards ('Radeon') won't work without proprietary firmware and/or driver. If you have an Intel chip (not the newest ones though) you can probably run without trouble because there is a free driver that Trisquel includes. It's only really relevant to 3D acceleration and graphics, it would probably be fine as long as you don't have AMD or ATI chips. You can run a desktop (albeit slower) such as XFCE and LXDE without 3D acceleration easily because there is often some limited 2D support for the X Window System in the drivers. But keep testing the live CD/DVD/USB, this is basically the same as a normal installation. In the meantime for the WiFi you can connect directly to the router/access point with an ethernet cable, to test packages.
