> 1.What kind of images (and other works) could I use for a desktop
background, and things into the Trisquel OS of a computer?
You can use whatever you want, mate. Despite what some of our detractors like
to think, we are not a religion or a cult. If you aren't comfortable with
non-libre images being on your desktop, then don't put non-libre images on
your desktop. But no one is going to cry bloody murder if you have a picture
of Star Wars as your background.
I actually think it's unethical for an artist to use copyright to deny anyone
the four freedoms, regardless of the type of work. But I still read/watch/etc
non-libre cultural works; I'm not willing to shut myself off from all of
modern culture because of my opposition to copyright. And even if I was, just
like with proprietary software, I wouldn't ascribe blame to people who
read/watch/etc non-libre cultural works. The blame is on those who forbid
people from exercising the four freedoms (i.e. the copyright holder, usually
a publisher).
