As a software foundation the FSF's recommendations for software and software  
documentation are sound. It is perhaps best not to follow their  
recommendations for non-software works as it is outside of the scope of a  
software foundation. For things outside of the scope of software and software  
documentation there is the free culture movement. I encourage people to look  
to that for guidance as opposed to a software foundation trying to offer  
guidance in areas that are outside its scope.
