relatively new to these issues--although I like to learn about them.
My understanding is that the GPL confers the four freedoms and the FSF
encourages license holders to give the license to the FSF so that the FSF can
bear any expense in upholding the license against violators.
When you mention 'linux' I assume you are referring to the kernel?
Maybe someone who actually understands this (a.k.a. not me :) can figure out
the state of the Canon driver(s)? If they are free wouldn't it make sense to
include it in Trisquel?
