The Grub install fail error can be mitigated by removing the USB stick and  
retry. Eventually, the Grub installer will understand that it's the harddisk  
you're installing the loader on.

It's a pretty crucial flaw. I wonder how it's not been patched on Trisquel. I  
guess nobody netinstalls from a USB. A CD would not have this problem.
