I am sorry that this is so frusrating, I know you just want answers, don't  
let that person get you down.

I think he meant well, but he isn't helping anyone, least of all Free  
software.

In the future, Libreboot laptops or Thinkpenguin laptops are a good choice,

Libreboot is better imo. but your new so its up to you if you want to even  
take my advice.
