> lost the desktop panelIt sounds like you have been starting Openbox by mistake. It is a window manager that LXDE uses. Did you select'openbox' in the Trisquel display manager (where you log in)? In the display manager, change it back to LXDE by selecting the icon by your name, and then list of your desktop sessions should appear. Select LXDE or Trisquel-mini, not Openbox.
