I have tried GNOME-panel a lot, and it is quite underwhelming. The
application menus don't show all the applications; things like the
Tweak Tool and Synaptic don't show up, and the settings are weird.
It doesn't offer much advantage over Xfce.
Agreed.
I prefer Cinnamon.
