There are various scripts floating around to do that (the issue is preserving changes as ram is volatile). Or you could do it manually. There is an existing tmpfs in /dev/shm.
Regarding the first question you could put your Abrowser profile and cache
into ram. That will make things faster and no more disk crunching, probably
helps with battery life as well.
