Something else that I think is of even greater importance is the lack of free  
software running on flash drive controllers (and HDDs too). I would love to  
see a Solid State Drive running free software minimally and speedily, and  
would back such a project in q heartbeat, as it is the last "nonfree" bit of  
my computer (mostly).
For the libre desktop, I think this is nearly a priority. Any ideas?
