Sorry, can't help with the dependency issue. I'm using Debian (Stretch) and  
it builds fine.
You can't boot from a fully encrypted drive (with /boot encrypted) with  
seabios afaik.

Other option would be to use petitboot payload instead of seabios or grub.

The Asus KFSN 4-DRE isn't listed though xD You can still try it though. I  
should try this someday with my KGPE.. I'm just lazy these days.
