I don't think that we should call garbage a program that is recommended a lot  
by a lot of people, projects and even big companies like Canonical and Red  
Hat.
In my experience and many more is a great way to solve lots of problems.
I am also surprised you are actually blaming Acer but somehow Grub-repair is  
garbage?

I can assure you Ronmamita I am recommending you something that works. The  
program that recommended SuperTramp83 might be good too. But I have no idea  
how to use it.
