Bob, you should be able to use MATE on T7 just fine. I like window
managers instead of DEs so that's what I use.

I wish I could find it for you right now and hand you the link with a
big red bow on top but life is what it is and I'm sure you're an expert
at that sort of thing so it would take you less time than it would me
anyway. :)

don't answer. There should be. Many of you shouldn't have to be worrying
about paying bills and using yourselves as human shields to protect your
wives and kids from the modern day equivalent of sabre toothed tigers
when you have so much talent and so much to give the world. It's the
stupid world that refuses to accept your gifts, not anything you are
doing wrong.
