Imagine a billion websites submitting a billion web extensions to each and every distro and requiring each user to install them (especially in a browser which doesn't support WebExtensions). But why stop there? Let's also distribute the full backends and DB skeletons of the websites as packages in distros! Then the user can install the website on their own machine and be absolutely sure that everything is FSF-compliant. After all - that is "The simplest solution". :)
