Having now read the links Adfeno provided, Mike's point are quite valid.
They're just a bit out of context here. He's not saying "let's not ever use
web apps'. He's saying "I don't like using web apps coz they're no Emacs"
(fair enough but true for a number of people so small it makes the margin of
error look like a crowd), and "just because a program runs in the browser it
doesn't mean it's less of a security issue than one installed on the system".
Which is true, but kind of irrelevant for reasons I mention in my last
comment.
