[Trisquel-users] update git trisquel 7

Hi everyone,

I am new to Trisquel and free software generally, with my Libiquity Taurinus  
laptop that came with Trisquel 7. I am trying to use an emacs package called  
Magit, which says

Error (magit): Magit requires Git >= 1.9.4, you are using 1.9.1.

Is this 1.9.4 version freedom compliant, and if so can you recommend the best  
way to install it on Trisquel 7?
