The guy from Libiquity said that their boot firmware has a bug which is exposed by the new version of the linux kernel that Trisquel 8 uses, where the issue is that the clock resets itself to 1970 on each boot. He said if I upgrade to Trisquel 8 I would need to install a Network Time Protocal client which would use internet servers to fix the clock and that they would eventually release a firmware upgrade to fix this. I didn't want to have to be connected to the internet for my clock to work correctly, so I thought I'd wait for the upgrade. I would love to upgrade to Trisquel 8 if there's a around that. Thanks.
