Right, and Trisquel is indeed listed here:

But the partnership with DDG is not listed on the abrowser-help page, so I
might add it, so users can choose to willfully contribute to Trisquel through
clicking on DDG adds if they cannot donate directly from their own pocket,
instead of randomly generating some revenue for Trisquel without being aware
of it, and of how. It might even increase the revenue from that source,
except of course if they become touchy for not having been told about it
earlier.

I do not understand that. The user can choose to send cookies to DDG even if
DDG is not supposed to use them?

I do not have any problem with DDG incrementing a trisquel counter, but as
pointed by andyprough (and he deserves all credit for that) this is not a
matter of trusting people to honor their promise, this is a matter of
understanding what is going where. If something does not need to be sent, why
send it by default? If some innocuous data has to be sent in order to
generate some revenue, why not make it clear, and even better, let the user
choose?
