Hi Jim, April 4/'11

                                                             *SIMPLER
READING MANUAL*

Sounds excellent. What about, for simplicity sake, downloading the whole
manual as-is, and then annotating with numbered definitions and the
definitions in the foot of each page as they occur. This will make much
easier reading than forcing a newbie to flip back and forth to a full
glossary in the back. Definitions on each page as they occur, I would think
even if they've occurred in many other places in the book. It'll make for
more pages, but I think the facility of this will justify the added bulk.
As for pictures and 'mass', who in TROMland does computer graphics and art;
anyone?
As for gradients, I didn't notice much out gradient for me personally, but
the only 2 things that stick out in my mind are
  a. change the sequence of chapters and paragraphs, if needed.
  b. add something between chapters easing any out-gradients.

My main objection was the 'misunderstood word' phenomena; how would a
newbie know what an SHSBC, or HCOB is? He probably doesn't even really know
what the word 'Scientology' means, and probably has to be gently eased
through the bad PR that that word has brought in.

Tell me how I could assist in this; my computer skills are minimal, typing
speed luckily 30wpm, but editorial skills are probably pretty good.

Thanks, Aarre Peltomaa
