I was just starting a session of L4.
And was going to start at 1 and go to 8 like the book says. So I take my sheet and read: *1. Forced to know. (Infliction) (Motivator) This category is about infliction. “Forced to know” means instances or incidents where someone inflicted something on you, (against your will) with enough force to overwhelm you, upset you, or frustrate you, or to break your spirit. They consist of issues or incidents like conflict, abuse, invalidation, and suppression.* And it does not make sense, when compared against #8. *8. Forcing to know(Infliction) (Overt) * *This category is about infliction. “Forcing to know” means instances or incidents where you inflicted something on someone, (against their will) with enough force to overwhelm them, to to frustrate them, or break their spirit. This is an overt act. In other words a harmful act. * The question is:..... if #8 is supposed to be the beginning of my track, (that is this life) how can I as a baby or small child; "force someone to know" : that is me commit an overt, by me inflicting someone to overwhelm him? It does not make sense to me. It makes sense that #8 is an overt act of infliction to overwhelm someone that I committed in present time. And it makes sense that #1 is an overt act of infliction committed against me as a child. If I am wrong, can someone please explain why Dennis is right? I look forward to your soonest response. David
