Hi Dave,
Thought I would accept your invitation and answer. Your questions may
be rhetorical but they do deserve an answer.

Hi David
My understanding regards RI is that it is primarily the restoration
of a beings willingness and ability to create. I have never bothered
much with the content - just the process.
I see that the content in RI is important. RI is an exercise so that
one may achieve the ability to change one's mind and not get stuck for
ever on an item. As an example Fords are better than Chevys and one
must see that they always have Chevys rather than Fords. Then time
passes and this is no longer true. Will one change their mind or
remain stuck on Chevys and have a miserable life from then on.
Did I miss something? I never got that they are meant to replace any
other postulates.
True, replacing postulates is not the facility one acquires by running
RI. What is acquired is the ability to re-order and change those
things one ranks above other things as important or those things that
one puts most of their attention and energy into.
Reminds me of an old adage of how one has 'mind over matter' ... If
you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
Regards
Dave
