Hi Colleen
Two methods.

One make the sphere very large so the 4x8 panels are very small relative to the 
whole structure then set the panels side by side all around you 360 degrees.

Two plywood is made of thin sheets of wood that are glued togather. It is as 
easy to make curved sheets of plywood as it is to make flat ones.  Make curved 
sheets that will fit together edge to edge to make a sphere.
