(continueing replays of TROM-l not issued before. This goes to where the
original replay series reaches Replay 6.)

Since there is little traffic on TROM-l, I am wondering whether you
would like me to send out 2 replays a week (we originally sent out more
than one replay a week, but I cut back to encourage new
communication). Or perhaps people doing TROM would like to report on
their wins, progress and questions. Of course I know it is not "nice"
to be the first one to write after a pause - but what if there is no first?
there will be no second :-)

Best, and good tromming,

Ant

Greetings Fellow Tromers,                             July 3, 1997

My name is Michael Bonnycastle and I am delighted to be a new
suscriber
to Trom-l. I have been on Trom for almost 11 weeks amd it has been
tremendous.
What I particularly like is the honesty of Dennis H. Stephens in
laying the
whole thing out. I have been on level 5 for about 6 weeks and I
find the more
R.I. one runs and varied, the better the session. I mean it makes
a DRAMATIC
difference. I find following suggestions from the clearing course
has helped
also, such as: do it ploddingly and methodically, audit daily, a
session missed
is a session lossed. I have to resist the urge to 'get it all at
once', and
just keep digging more out of the ditch. It seems on level five
that ones
case is getting more and more flat. It is increasingly clear that
conviction
is the largest factor in differentiating the basic postulates. I
would
love to hear from others who are doing or done Trom. I really
would enjoy hearing
about the finis of level five. I really cannot overestimate the
importance of
Trom to myself, or the depth of gratitude to this remarkable
fellow, Dennis H.
       Stephens.

        Hello Richard,
  JULY 4, 1997

Well, as you go on with the excercises, ones awareness increases
considerabley of these
things. To the point where you, almost objectively are aware of
their quiet presence.
Example: Somebody you work with that you havn't got on with very
well, but you detect for
whatever reason their discomfort. You then compulsively try to
avoid them. Just not
confront this individual in any way due seemingly to the lack of
chemistry. But it's a
very compulsive thing. This is an example of something I have
targeted in Trom because
you come to look for them. Then when one goes(away from their
session) out into life
and finds these sensations utterly dropping away, and it increases
and increases,
your standing there very much delighted. On level five, one
becomes aware of these things
and intentionally works them in session, and as a result they quite
effortlessly really
cease to bother one! It's exciting because you everyday are quite
aware of being less and
less an affect these miserable things!

       best regards,

               Michael

Hi Judith,

Yes, that's true. I like so much your discovery of
responsibility. Was
That something that perhaps would occur to you, moments out of
session,
completely out of session, in session, etc.? I ask this because
it is a
real joy, the way one goes about   their business and bits of
mental
mass pop up seemingly during the day, and you spot them and
they sort of,
shall we say disintegrate. For myself, these 'revelations' come
about at
any time. So are you saying that your sense of being cause of
everything,
that is your awareness of what must be known, and not known in
respect of
your own viewpoint, of course, increased to the point where it
was altogether
ho-hum? By the way, this communicating, I must say, really seems
to forward
        ones case, thanks very much.

Michael

Thanks for this interesting post and I agree that it is most important
to find the exact opposite, and that it is actually very simple if you
look carefully.

I find it hard to talk about this, because there are no words to
describe what really happens or quite how it works. The best I can
offer is from my own experience - so this is what has worked and does
work for me.

I know a little about the Tao way of life, and undoubtedly life is
pleasantest when one is balanced - when one is not compelled to play
this game or that, but has a choice. Having a choice depends on how
free you are. Being free appears to be a state of creative
balancedness. Don't be deceived that being balanced is being still.
Balance is a state of constant motion, constant adjustment to where you
find yourself. If you can't keep yourself balanced, you soon know it,
'cos you fall over.

At the moment I find my life pretty much runs delightfully. If I think
of something I need, it often just comes my way - I don't know what's
coming up next, but is almost always interesting and fun. Life is quite
magical - which is not to say that it is perfect. So it is on the basis
of that that I offer the following. One of the major keys to my
postulates is keeping them non-specific. At present I seem to operate
mainly on one postulate - that is simply - Life goes remarkably well -
and it does. Its amazing but true. I find I am quite happy with that
postulate - it fills all my empty spaces quite satisfactorily and I seem
to have lots of great games come along. I never know quite what, so
that makes it exciting. But I'm jumping ahead....

I realised when I did Trom that I was making massive clear spaces in my
mind, and I really, really wanted to make new good games for myself.
Clear space, or 'nothing' is not a good thing with which to play games.
In fact, Nature abhors a vacuum and will fill it up with anything. But
one doesn't want anything in that space. It is good to remember that it
is actually remarkably easy to fall back into old patterns in the
absence of anything better to do. You actually have to actively create
new postulates that you want - no good doing nothing.

In our native state we are spirits, and spirits spend their time
creating and playing games. Looking carefully at life, one finds that
absolutely everything a being does has the attritutes of a game. Simple
chores, complex actions, be they fleeting or long term, are all built on
the structure of a game.

In order to evolve and learn new survival things, one actually needs to
be able to play the game of life well.

Most people don't even realise that they are participating in a game.
One could say that it is a step in the game of Life to realise that
there are actually rules. Working them well is an ongoing exercise.

These rules can be found in many places - often ancient and occult
places. Getting them all at together, rather than just a few is quite a
task.

So now, after doing lots of Trom and other clearing too, I try to make
my postulates based strictly on the following rules. I have also find
that following these rules tends to develop your psychic abilities, but
it also puts you in a position where you are actually a harmless fellow,
unless theatened by some non-ethical being.

There is a saying that the mills of god grind slowly, but they grind
fine. I've found this to be extremely true - but by following these
quidelines, one tends to get a good reflection back from the universe.

I also like the saying: Do what thou will is the whole of the Law and
the whole of the Law is Love under Will.

This statement is an interesting but true paradox, because love is
superior. But one can live by it or not, one has a choice. Anyway,
love is not quite what most people think it is - an interesting thing
about it is that it has no laws at all - anything goes - it is the
spirit in which it is done that counts - ie, the intention is the all
important issue - and also whether the intention works. (Whew - words
seem to make this simple thing complicated.)

Anyway, I think one needs to find interesting things to do after working
Trom. Its no good letting life be ho-hum - could end up boring, which
is not a good place to be.

What I do is follow what ever takes my fancy, but always along the
following rules to the best of my ability:

I've been endeavouring to follow these rules for quite a few years now -
started before I did Trom - and did RI bearing these rules in mind - and
still follow them as closely as I can. If life isn't working, I go
straight back to them and Trom and sort it out. Trom and these
guidelines seem to be a pretty powerful combination - though other
clearing may be necessary too.

My facilitator gave them to me - and insisted I learn them off by heart.
I'm glad I did, they serve me well.

(These are worth printing out and keeping by the way - its beneficial to
refer to them often)

They are important points to bear in mind when one is creating
postulates - (which is all the time).

RULES AND TRUTHS FOR THE GAME OF LIFE

1.    That which one thinks one creates. Whatever happens to you is
the result of thought since it is the sole source of creation.

2.    The stronger and more frequent the thought the more powerful it
becomes. This works as strongly when used negatively as it does when
used positively.

3.    Doubts, fears and uncertainties act as barriers to any positive
thought and slow down or prevent its attainment. The moment one
realises a thought is undermining one's intention, the positive thought
must be restated to put one on course again.

4.    Concentration on getting rid of an unwanted condition puts the
attention and creative power on that condition whereas one's thought
should be on the desired state.

5.    Visual imagery of the desired result will strengthen the thought
and make it more real to you. Imagining and fearing failure, or an
undesired condition will creat it, or if it already exists, encourage
its persistence.

6.    One must ask for oneself ONLY that which would be desirable for
any of mankind. Asking for oneself alone (selfishly) can produce the
desired result but you will render yourself liable for some sort of
kick-back. (Here again is emphasised the value of the non-specific
postulate.)

7.    Kicking against any condition in life will result in its
persistence. Being willing to accept the condition and being willing
for it to happen again enables the condition to be changed in the way
that one desires.

8.    Thinking that something WILL happen places it permanently in the
future. Think that it is already happening and visualise this. Making
the basic thought is enough to start the process and it will continue
right up to the final result unless deflected by negative thought or
action.

9.    Impatience in regard to the time it takes to achieve the goal
acts as a negating influence. Results come when the time is right for
them to do so. (Although this may be apparent only with hindsight, I
have neverthless found it to be very true.)

10.   Avoid making a second postulate to determine how the first will
come about. Non specific postulates are the best and safest ones. (EG:
A non-specific postulate is I marry a suitable partner. Putting a
second specific, or qualifying postulate in could be something like I
marry John - John may appear to be great at the moment but may turn out
to be unsuitable in the long run. Making unspecific postulates gives
the universe lots of scope to bring the right thing along).

11.   One should be ready, willing and able to follow one's intuitive
feeling as to what needs to be done as a step towards the final goal.
Some measure of doingness is nearly always necessary. (Intuition is
often not logical, but it is a superior ability).

12.   One should NEVER use one's thought power to force another to do
what one wants, NOT EVEN FOR THEIR OWN GOOD. To do so can produce very
undesirable repercussions for yourself since this action is totally
unethical. It is a misuse of power and makes you liable to penalties
for having done so.

13    You must be certain that you REALLY DESIRE any particular change
and not just feel that you ought to desire it. When the will and the
imagination are at war the imagination ALWAYS wins since it is what you
secretly desire.

14.   Really EXPECT things to go right for oneself when this is not to
the detriment of someone else and this will happen.

15.   Do not impose conditions as to how the goal shall be attained.
Let it work out in its own time and in its own way. (Again, keep it non-
specific.)

16.   Do not be deflected from achieving your goal in your own way by
the ignorance of others of the way that this works. (Many would love to
throw you off course!)

17.   Do not restrict yourself by pre-conceived ideas, fixed beliefs
or prejudices.

18.   Be willing to LET GO of anything or anyone. Do not try to hold
on.

19.   Do not take yourself or life too seriously. These guidelines
work better if you don't.

20.   Achieve a number of minor successes to gain confidence and
through these successes gradually build up to handling the major
conditions or changes that one desires.

21.   Success breeds success but failure begets failure. (So
acknowledge all your successes, however small, this gives you certainty
that things are working well.)

22.   Realise that the result of what you create is governed by
intention.

23.   This being so, you are responsible for what you create.

24.   The effects which come from your creation are governed by the
nature of the creation itself and its intended effect.

25.   If you happen to be at unwanted effect in regard to another's
creation, remember this first of all involved you having thought that
this can happen.

26.   Be certain that every thought is made with LOVE. This is
essential to success.

If you look carefully at the above, you can clearly see the ancient
rules of karma, or cause and effect.

A good saying to bear in mind is 'Whatever is, is best. If things are
not as you wish them to be, accept the situation, whilst looking
carefully at it to see what changes you can make to it. Often in
hindsight you will see that Whatever was, was indeed best - you had
something to learn from it.

Rules 22 - 26 are to do with personal responsibility for YOUR OWN
CIRCUMSTANCES. As one's understanding of responsibility grows, so does
ones ability to control, or be in charge of one's life.

It is also most important to define where one's responsibilities begin
and end. Others like to blame others - this is not taking
responsibility - look carefully before taking on blame from others.

Only when you can truly take responsibility for yourself and what you
create or allow in your life, can you be properly free.

Exercises for the Basic Rules of Positive creation.

1.    Let a thought come into your mind. Wht will this thought tend
to create?

2.    Think a definite thought in regard to anything. What will this
thought tend to create?

3.    Think a thought about yourself. What will this thought tend to
create?

4.    If this thought was positive imagine what your next step ought
to be.

5.    If any of the above thoughts were negative think the thought
that would cancel it out.

6.    Think a thought about another. What will this thought tend to
create. What would it tend to create in regard to yourself? (How will
your intention reflect back at you?) Use numbers 4 and 5 as
appropriate.

7.    Think a thought about an unwanted condition of your own. Change
this thought to a positive one and proceed with Step 4.

8.    Think of a goal that you would like to attain. Find the
intention and think the positive thought to start its being attained.
Visualise it being attained. Think of it failing and rememdy this with
a positive thought.

THE KEY TO GETTING THE RULES OF THE GAME OF LIFE IS VIGILANCE AND
PERSISTENCE. KEEP A CLOSE CHECK ON YOUR THOUGHTS AND KEEP THEM GOOD.

If you don't feel good,

1.    Take time to pause.

2.    Look and find out exactly what is causing this feeling.

3.    Check your intentions.

4.    Find out what you do want, change your intentions or actions
according to the basic principles and make the appropriate thoughts.

5.    Put in the necessary doingness to bring these thoughts to
fruition.

6.    it is necessary to accept that things are as they are for a
reason. Find that reason - which is normally the crux of a lesson you
need to learn - and then you can begin to change things. Change can
take time.

That is quite enough! Any questions, please ask.

I would very much go along with Joacquim and Flemming and say that
Finite and Infinite games is very valuable reading to go along with
Trom. It certainly helped me a lot. Gave my understanding of 'games'
depth and breadth.
