I'd atree. Another idea would be to use something like left and right
arrow for 6-second increments, shift left and right for minute increments,
and control left and right arrow for ten-minute increments. This would
keep moving in time on the arrows, and would just depend on what modifier
(if any) was used. It could free pageup and pagedown for clips, and the up
and down arrows for something else. Changing volume would be one idea,
though you can do that in another terminal with a mixing app.

Just an idea.
