DAVEH: Yes, I agree. But when I was referring to the "word of God", I thought
we were speaking of the Bible, which is a record of the word of God as recorded,
transcribed and translated by the hand of fallible men. What comes from the
mouth of the Lord cannot be changed, but the way men use what comes from His
mouth can be changed.....does that seem reasonable to you, Carroll?

And yes, I understand that you believe that what one finds in the Bible is
exactly as the Lord wanted it recorded. But I respectfully disagree. It may or
may not be as God wants it, depending on the accuracy of the transcriptions and
translations. I have previously pointed out various translations that were
obviously erroneous. I'm sure you would agree that some of those bad
translations were certainly not meant by God to have been printed that way.

DAVEH: I think that depends on one's perspective and how they interpret
Scripture. There are quite a few Jews who would disagree with you on that!

DAVEH: I'm sorry Carroll......you lost me on that one.

DAVEH: I again respectfully disagree. I worship the Lord. I believe Jesus is
my Savior. I also believe Jesus died in my behalf, and was resurrected and now
lives again. IMHO, that makes me a Christian.....one who believes in, worships
and follows the Lord Jesus Christ. IF that is not enough to make me a
Christian, Carroll.....what more do you feel is required???

DAVEH: Please give me an example of a teaching that you don't think LDS folks
follow?

DAVEH: Your post was cut short on this. Did you have something else you wished
to say?
