I don't wish to disrespect you, but I find it strange you act like you have never heard this before I brought it up.DAVEH: I've seen you mention it numerous times (including with Jeff), but did not want to jump in as you seemed to be having fun at the time, and I didn't need any more rebukes! <VBG>
Especially since Jeff jumped in and said he knew it.DAVEH: I remember Jeff saying such, and cringed when he did. But like I said....it wasn't my argument, and you didn't ask me about it. At the time, I was had a load on my plate and didn't feel compelled to grab a skunk by the tail! ;-)
I did a quick search and found this post from Jeff on 4-10-02.......

Glenn to Jeff in all seriousness, Since you are now admitting
you worship a different Jesus, this leaves you outside of
Christianity. There is only
one true Jesus. John 3:16 says THE ONLY begotten Son of God.
YOU HAVE BEEN DISHONEST TO
US ON TT. You go serve in
Louisiana while the Mormon powers get richer, on the back of a different
Jesus. The Bible says
call no man a fool so I won't call you
one.
Jeff) Glenn you are confusing two
things here. You are confusing reality, and interpretation.
Reality is that we have two
different interpretations. You
automatically assume that your Jesus is the one of the Bible, (as I assume
that the one I believe
is). So really pitting me against
your interpretation of who Jesus is, is nonproductive.
> > THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL THEM!
Jeff) Do you think
I don't know that I worship a Jesus that is different
than your Jesus??
Do you think I am that dense? Now what this does not
mean (and what I think you
have been trying to tell me) is that we do not
believe in the Jesus of
the Bible. You have an interpretation of Jesus
and we have a different
one. So What??
BTW it is quite arrogent
to say that you are christian and I am not.
Christian means profess
to believe in Christ. We might not be just
another denomination, but
that should not stop us from professing to be
Christian.

........but I am still unable to find the original post you made about President Hinckley's speech. I will search for it again when I have more time.
--DAVEH: I again respectfully disagree. I worship the Lord. I believe Jesus is
my Savior. I also believe Jesus died in my behalf, and was resurrected and now
lives again. IMHO, that makes me a Christian.....one who believes in, worships
and follows the Lord Jesus Christ. IF that is not enough to make me a
Christian, Carroll.....what more do you feel is required???
