You are changing the subject. You made the following assertion, and I quote you exactly: Blaine wrote: >> I don't know of any doctrinal differences among >> believers in the BoM. How do you explain that? The question was not whether the BOM caused divisions, but whether or not the BOM resolved divisions. You claimed that you did not know of any doctrinal differences among believers in the BOM. The implication was that the BOM unifies people and resolves differences. Now, after we challenge your assertion, you claim that you know of more doctrinal differences among those who believe in the BOM than we do! It is impossible to carry on an intelligent conversation with you. Instead of admitting that you made a mistake or said something incorrectly, you go off down another rabbit trail and blame everyone else for not being able to follow your conversation! You blame Glenn for creating smoke screens, when you have created a huge cloud of smoke with your contradictory statements. How about you first show us where the Bible caused divisions, not AFTER it was translated, but BEFORE it was translated. LOL. If you can do that, then I will show you where the BOM caused divisions before Joseph Smith was even dead. Is that fair enough? And believe me, there were many divisions caused before Joseph Smith died, especially among those who knew him best. With regard to your comment about how the divisions were caused by additional revelation after the translation of the BOM, aren't you aware that this is the same reason that many Protestants are against the idea of continued revelation? In other words, they reject the Mormon doctrine of continued revelation for this reason you state, that it divides people. Both Mormons and Protestants claim they know the reason for increased divisions among believers, but they are both wrong because the Bible tells us that divisions are caused by carnality, not by additional revelation. What a logical mess we have here! Peace be with you. David Miller. ---------- "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man."
