The legends point to a visit by Jesus to the Americas.OK If these "legends" are true, then why don't we see a record of it in our religious history books.
OR better yet in the "secular" history books.DAVEH: Have you heard of Quetzal-Coatl, Laura? I don't think there is a dearth of information about ancient American history, but rather it simply isn't covered to the extent of European history which is perceived to be more important in the development of America. If you travel through Mexico, Central & South America.....you will find a lot of history that the US education system simply ignores. At least I didn't hear much about it when I was in school. But in fairness to the 'system', a lot of it was simply not known until recent years, after many years of archaeological exploration.
I still go back to the fact that we see no recorded information of this anywhere but in Mormon material.DAVEH: I thought I explained that earlier. The Spaniards took care of the "recorded information" hundreds of years ago. Legends persisted long after, however. And of course, there is a wealth of information (literally) carved in stone in the vast ruins south of the border. I visited some of those ruins a couple years ago, and will be happy to share some of the photos with you if you desire. FWIW......I think I sent Glenn our Christmas card that year which showed my family standing in front of the Chitzen Itza temple.
A quick google search turned up.......

Something stinks there?DAVEH: Hmmmmmm......the only stinker I know around TT is Brother Glenn! <VBG>
