Just because (maybe I don't know and I don't think you have studied what the 136 different Mormon divisions believe) Mormonism is not divided over infant baptism does not mean they are not divided over many other matters. David M pointed some of them out.DAVEH: The "switch-a-rue" has all been of your doing, Glenn. The original discussion was about how the BofM could answer questions about certain doctrines (viz., baptism of adults/infants) that have caused divisions in Christianity in the past. I contend that virtually all BofM factions are not divided on doctrines such as this that have confused traditional "Christian churches" but are explained in detail in the BofM. I don't know of any BofM related churches who have split due to different beliefs of the BofM. As far as I know, their differences seem to stem from personality clashes and polygamy practices. Contrary to your belief that the BofM causes those divisions, the beliefs derived from the BofM seem to be what unifies them (if that makes any sense to you) to a certain extent.
Again this is a "switch-a-rue" here.
NO! THE POINT IS MORMON REVELATION HAS NOT WORKED TO CREATE UNITY. IN FACT IT HAS CREATED MORE DIVISIONS THAN EVER BEFORE; EVEN 136 OR MORE WITHIN MORMONISM.--I will accept lack of doctrinal differences on infant baptism, but there are many more in the 136 divisions within Mormonism.
DAVEH: The point was whether those who believe in the BofM are divided in their belief about the BofM. Those who are divided from the LDS Church do so despite their believe in the BofM, not because of it. As another example, I don't think you will find any of the BofM factions who would dispute the necessity of baptism because of the BofM's explicit explanation of baptisms relationship with salvation. Yet there seem to be many Protestant factions who are divided over this issue. Why are they divided? Because the Bible lacks explicit information regarding it, and then men have concocted their own doctrines and theories in place of what is missing from the Bible.
