The problem I have with this assertion is that many of the women were
already married to another man!  It seems like you guys just make up reasons
why polygamy was allowable by these men.  Why didn't other, non-Mormon
communities adopt polygamy for the same reason?

Don't you see the contradictions here?  You say that there were not enough
women to go around, but here you show how a woman divorces her husband and
takes the children away from her true husband, to be joined to Brigham
Young.  Jesus taught that this was adultery.  Then you say that Brigham
tried to talk her out of it, but one has to wonder about that if Brigham
married her.  The deception here is so blatant, but if you are submitted to
the deceivers you just can't see it.

Please take note that you just proved by your statment here that Brigham
Young was an adulterer, because Jesus taught that if a man marries someone
who is divorced, he commits adultery (Luke 16:18).
