If I told you that I had perfect credit, would you think that I was trying
to say that I had the absolute best credit, better than anyone anywhere, or
would you just think that it meant that there were no blemishes on my credit
history?

Also, if you are going to restrict the modern use of the word "perfect" to
an absolute sense, then you need to stop using the word perfect with respect
to the earthly life of Jesus, because the Bible is clear that Jesus was not
perfect in that sense of the word (Heb. 5:8-9).
