Dear Glenn,

As for the SDAs I have gotten to know, they do not assert that they are the one and only true church.  If there is an 'official' view to the contrary, I am unaware of it.  As with any group, there are variations in emphasis by its adherents.  I neither condemn nor endorse its format of worship, which is much like major Sunday keeping groups and has some advantages and disadvantages.

The truth is that the "Seventh Day Adventist Church" operates by the authority of 501C-3 corporate laws in the United States.  It is merely a fiction of law that may out live its members and may hold property in trust.  A lot of sincere, loving people support the entity, not realizing what it is.  Just like other groups, leading members use the corporation as a vehicle to promote hospitals, universities, youth groups, and misionary outreaches.

Will someone please tell me if the 7th Day Adventists still claim to be the one and only true church?

It was written by Seventh Day Adventists and re-published in a
Catholic periodical.
