Yes, it is truth for me, and so is the next verse:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  (1 John 1:9)

Let no man say that Jesus Christ leaves us to wallow in our sin.  If Jesus
cleanses us from all unrighteousness, then in Jesus Christ are we righteous
or unrighteous?
