DAVEH: I think you've got the wrong religion, g. Wasn't it the Anglicans (a Protestant sect) or was it the Methodists (???) who were trying to hook up with the RCC folks a few years ago? Anybody know of what happened to those negotiations?
and, 2) tell the pope how you plan to reconcile the leadership of the LDS bureacracy to the leadership of Roman bureacracy without starting WW3 (it may not be that hard to join priesthoods--Mormon priests have the perfect solution to Cath love-sick celibacy--no? :-)
DAVEH: Which brings up a question.....how did the Catholics get started off on the celibacy doctrine anyway? To me, it seems a little self destructive. Are there any Protestant denominations that practice it amongst the clergy?
