DaveH, very fair.
I can understand your not wanting to discuss the sacred secret
incantations and incultations of the LDS temple endowments, especially when
one considers the grotesque and morbid penalties the LDS must swear to
undergo for so doing. There certainly is a price to pay for knowing such
sacred secret things.
How did the secret grips, signs, tokens, and penalties used in the LDS
temple ceremonies originate? From whence cometh these to Joseph Smith?
I understand that you may refuse to even admit that such pagan symbolism
is used in the LDS temple, and I respect your right to hold on to those
secrets (even though they are widely available for anyone to read), but I
have heard that he stole them from the Freemasons and, in fact, have read
that JS WAS a freemason, and was wondering what the official LDS position is
on the use of these symbols of Freemasonry in the LDS temple endowments.
Thanks,
Perry

DAVEH: Other than refer to general information that is commonly/openly
discussed (viz., the ordinances that take place in the temples, like baptism
for the dead and sealings), I prefer not to discuss the sacred details of
the ordinances of our temples,
Perry.
