No, I did not employ a double negative.  A double negative is where the same
phrase has two negatives where one negative modifies the next negative.  The
two negatives you eliminated were from two separate phrases.  You changed
the meaning of the sentence when you removed words from it and created more
dizziness for us all.  :-)
