DaveH,
We got 8 inches of gorgeous snow beginning on Christmas Eve morning, just as I requested!
DAVEH:  Hmmmmm..........I wonder how many other's are unhappy you prayed (and received) for snow!  LOL
A perfect setting for 15 of our family members gathering together here; from Great Grandpa down to our youngest granddaughter of 8 months. So perfect! Today the snow is mostly gone (after some fun sledding on Art Hill in Forest Park), the sun is shining and it is 54 degrees. Not bad!
One of my most precious memories for this year was our tree trimming party, in which a much loved Jewish couple joined us and helped decorate the tree.
DAVEH:  Ohhhhhh.........that IS interesting!
We were joined by, among others, the 2 and 4 year old granddaughters who were praising Jesus to the Christmas carols playing on the stereo. We have joined that couple at their home for a Seder in the past, and it was so sweet to see them enjoying their first Christmas experience. I think mutual experience of our cultures paves the way for trust and understandingand hopefully for changed hearts and lives in the future.J
Have a blessed vacation with your family. The weather sounds great.
DAVEH:  It is for me.  I'm not much for hot weather or bright sunshine (or deep snow!)  I kinda like the drizzle for which the Oregon coast is noted.  And, the stormier the better.  An angry sea is a sight to behold.
